Rural - regenerative agriculture
If you’ve recently bought acreage out in the country, it’s likely you’re hoping to be self sufficient to some degree which means growing and raising a large amount of food. This aspiration can feel daunting and overwhelming, but it doesn’t need to!
In the Portland metro area, a two-hour site visit will orient you to the benefits of regenerative and syntropic agriculture techniques that have been demonstrated successfully in our climate zone, that can be applied on your land, not only improving the soil and ecosystem health, but creating an enormous amount of nutrient-dense calories.
As we walk your land and survey its ecology and existing plant communities, we’ll take time to explore its hydrology and how to maximize its features in the natural irrigation of your current and future food-producing systems.
Though this site visit will give you valuable information and perspective into the fundamental elements of urban-scale food forestry (which can easily be scaled up), it will also allow for the incorporation of animals, integrated orchards, timber production, watershed management, and income generation.
Rural consultations (up to two hours) within 45 minutes of Portland are $120 for the first hour, $80 for the second. Design work is $80/hr
